Introducing Coach Cienna! She is from Albuquerque, New Mexico, and a senior at La Cueva High School. She is not only playing for ARVC, but, coaching for ARVC and brings a unique perspective, strong understanding of the game and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on young athletes.
She’s played for ARVC for multiple seasons, including 15N2, 16N2, and now entering her second season playing on our 18 Black Adidas team. Coach Cienna has played both middle blocker and opposite for the majority of her career. She is a proud starter on Varsity at La Cueva High School and has made a notable impact on the team.
Cienna began her coaching career at ARVC coaching Academy 14U last season. During this time she discovered her passion for teaching and mentoring young players. After taking a break from volleyball last season, she realized she wasn’t ready to step away completely and is excited to return to coaching, with a focus on providing an outlet for younger girls who need guidance both on and off the court.
Cienna is a dual sport athlete and plans to pursue running in track and field in college while majoring in Kinesiology, with aspirations of becoming an athletic trainer. Her coaching philosophy is centered around creating a fun and supportive environment where players give 110% effort and work through challenges as a team. She believes in the importance of loving the game while always striving for improvement, embodying the motto,
Outside of coaching, Coach Cienna enjoys bowling and watching movies, making the most of her free time with fun, relaxing activities. She is excited to share her knowledge and passion for volleyball with her players, helping them grow both on and off the court. We’re so ecstatic to have another Rebel turned coach on our staff!!
