ARVC 2024-25 Projected Cost

No you do not need to pay for both. You can pay for both.  Only pay for the national tryout and if you do not receive a call for those teams you simply return to the SW tryouts.

At most age levels we have National teams and Southwest teams. National teams are selected first at tryouts. The N1 coach selects his/her team then the N2 coach selects his/her team.  Anyone who does not get selected for a National team is welcome to come back to tryout for the Southwest team.  National 1 teams would typically play in a higher division than the National 2 team at National Qualifiers. We work on entering teams in the division that meets the skill level of the team. The Southwest teams are still competitive and we place them in divisions that also match their skill level. We no longer call teams "Regional" as this seemed to insinuate that participation was optional and everyone plays no matter what.  SW teams will travel to 3 day events and play among other teams at the level they are at or higher to challenge them. This means that same as National teams, playing time is earned.

We only have local teams up to 14U. For ages 10U-13U, you can sign up for tryouts and if you do not make one of the traveling teams, we will send you an offer to join out academy team for these ages we will take athletes until we are full. For 14U you will still have to return for tryouts on our 14U Academy(local program) we will make cuts at this age level. Unfortunately we do not have the court space to be able to take all 14U.

Practices will begin the week of November 1 for 10U-14u and the week of December 1 for  15U-18U

Mini club is in session from August - October. This is a team program for ages 9-12.  We will take as many athletes that sign up for the teams available.  Up to 80 athletes, once we fill up we will refer you to NM Elite who is mirroring this program.  We will play in 2 pool play days and one tournament day with alternate rules to allow for growth.  These are 2 - 6 week sessions that allows the kids to play on teams and get a small club fill to decide if they would like to pursue volleyball.  Any athletes that tryout for the traveling teams of 10SW-11N1- 12N1 and 12SW can still participate if they wish as their club season will start in November.  Hope this make sense!
